hi... thanks for all the Fav's.... glad you enjoy them... I really enjoyed taking them...

What was it like going to India?
:iconbalibob:
India was stressful...And hard on the immune system I got sick a number of times... even though I was vegetarian while there. When you find a nice place you like... you stay put and rest for a while. The overpopulation can really get to you... so you need "breaks" from the cities... and there are plenty of places to go for that. Rahjastan was great.
The mountainous regions were less populated and had a cooler climate. I met and shook hands with the Dalai Lama up north in the town where he lives... quite a event.
Nepal is also a very WONDEROUS place.

The good thing about me going to India is that I'm traveling with people who have been there a lot and already know what to expect. I can see it being a hard place to travel, though, since it's a much harsher way of living. I think it would be a really eye opening experience for someone who has never traveled outside America.
I guess what advice do you suggest on preventing sickness in traveling in India, or is it just a natural part of being there?
:iconbalibob:
Make sure you get all your shots... sickness is hard to avoid. look at the latest malaria prevention... if there is any.. Not trying to get you paranoid but ... getting sick... and feeling unwell or having the need to be hospitalized is NOT FUN when you are in 3rd world countries. I know. You will have the time of your life. But safety always should be taken first into consideration.
I was vegetarian for 3 months in India and I still got sick.. more than once. Some people never get sick. depends on where you go and luck of the draw... thats all.
